Australia: Questacon - The National Science Center

In 2003, the Australian Government announced the funding of a $3 billion dollar educational program called Smart Movers, created to foster entrepreneurship, innovation and scientific development among young Australians. The ultimate goal of the initiative was to stimulate the national economy by motivating the younger generation to start businesses and pursue great scientific discoveries that would collectively make a great impact on the nation. The top youth organization leaders in the country were assembled in the nation's capital, Canberra, to form a "think tank" and draft recommendations for the Minister of Education and other related agencies. The Director of the Glasgow Science Center and Young & Successful Media's Jennifer Kushell were honored with the privilege of being the only foreigners invited to participate in the think tank.

At the conference, Jennifer presented her experience in working with young entrepreneurs and various educational initiatives both in the United States and around the globe. She offered insights and recommendations on how the National Science Center could inspire a new generation of Australians to become more engaged to make a difference in the world.
